Introduction to basalt fiber
● Continuous Basalt Fiber (CBF) is China's national strategic new material. It has excellent properties such as high strength, high modulus, high and low temperature resistance, and chemical corrosion resistance. It has been included in the national "863" plan.
● Basalt fiber has broad application prospects in the field of fiber-reinforced composite materials (FRP) due to its excellent performance. It has been widely used in building materials, aerospace, shipbuilding, vehicles, chemicals, machinery, metallurgy, electronics and other industries.
● Compared with traditional alkali-free glass fiber, continuous basalt fiber has significantly improved mechanical properties, resistance to chemical erosion, and temperature shock resistance. It is a better choice for composite materials to improve performance and expand application fields.
Introduction to basalt fiber factory
● The production factory began to conduct systematic research on continuous basalt fiber production technology in 2010. It has established 13 laboratories, organized more than 40 engineering and technical personnel to jointly tackle key problems, and solved dozens of technical problems one by one.
● In October 2016, a pilot project for the development of continuous basalt fiber tank kiln drawing technology was officially launched, and in 2019, the construction of a continuous basalt fiber tank kiln drawing demonstration line with an annual output of 30,000 tons was launched.
● Line 1 was officially put into operation in September 2020, becoming the world's first 10,000-ton continuous basalt fiber tank kiln production line. After the project is completed, it will become the world's largest continuous basalt fiber R&D and manufacturing base.
● According to testing and analysis by industry authoritative organizations, the rupture strength of the produced basalt fibers is 40% higher than that of products of the same specifications in the industry, and the fiber linear density fluctuates within 3.5%, which is much higher than the level of peers. It has the corresponding capabilities to meet the design requirements of various composite material products. ability.
Basalt fiber applications
● With the industrial application of domestic continuous basalt fiber production technology using the pool kiln method, the performance and quality of basalt fiber are more stable and the cost is reduced, thus providing customers with an excellent new choice of inorganic fiber materials.
Comparison of mechanical properties of basalt fiber
● After testing, the breaking strength of basalt fiber is 60 higher than that of E-glass fiber, and the elastic modulus is 25% higher.
