Applications in plastics

Applications of Flame Retardant Reinforced Nylon

  • The mechanical properties of some substitute glass fibers are reduced, but they can improve the appearance and dimensional stability of products, improve fluidity and reduce costs;

  • Mainly used in small circuit breaker and leakage enclosures, contactor shield, bases and pedestals, LED lampshades and so on;

  • It can also be used for high-temperature nylon and PPS, such as contact bracket and rotating shaft of small circuit breaker.

Applications of reinforced polypropylene

 

  • Calcium silicate mineral fiber reinforced PP material has good dimensional stability, and coated modified calcium silicate has better compatibility with PP, and its mechanical properties are higher;

  • Improve the long-term heat resistance of PP material and the cold and heat resistance of the parts;

  • It is recommended to be used in automobile parts and household appliances with great environmental temperature changes.

Enhance PBT application

  • Calcium silicate mineral fiber replaces part of the glass fiber in PBT, and the mechanical properties also decrease slightly, but the decrease is not large and within the acceptable range, but the dimensional stability and surface finish are greatly improved;

  • Active calcium silicate mineral fiber has good compatibility with polyester and is used to reinforce pure PBT, which can greatly improve the strength and heat resistance;

  • Mainly used in PBT products such as automotive lamp holders, LED lampshades, energy-saving lampshades;

Applications of modified PC/ABS

 

  • PC/ABS new material solution, using calcium silicate mineral fiber instead of glass fiber, protects precision molds and improving cooling efficiency;

  • The difficulty of the material lies in maintaining stable and reliable strength, and at the same time, it is necessary to give consideration to toughness (deflection) and surface appearance (uniform luster and no white lines);

  • Adding calcium silicate to improve fluidity is beneficial to injection molding of large parts. Effectively improve surface appearance and other injection defects by controlling particle size and length-to-diameter ratio; Calcium silicate cools quickly after filling, which reduces the use of steam and reduces the costs.

Flame retardant material application

  • Calcium silicate in EVA has the effect of improving flame retardancy. Compared with magnesium hydroxide, the resin has better fluidity and processability, and can improve the mechanical properties of the material;

  • Calcium silicate is used as a flame retardant synergist in flame retardant PP and PS. When combined with flame retardants, it can effectively improve the heat resistance of PP and PS, improve the flame retardant effect and reduce costs;

  • As a type of silicone flame retardant, calcium silicate is also relatively mature in compounding with other flame retardants in products such as flame retardant rubber and flame retardant emulsions.
